Our Story

the story of collin and erin starts off rather interesting, depending on who you ask. it began february 2021 when erin decided to give the dating app, bumble, one more try before taking a break. within 15 minutes, collin’s profile popped up. yeah, he was cute, but erin saw two adorable dogs (benny and jet) and swiped right—it was a match. excited to show her friends this match, erin went to her account only to find collin’s profile was gone! depending on who you ask, you will get a different story. if you ask erin though, she’ll say she had been officially ghosted!

fast forward two months. erin decided to try her bumble luck once more. to her surprise, she sees collin’s profile, and they match again. however, after a quick back and forth, erin points out the elephant in the room and says, “you know we matched before, right?” collin replies, “yes, i didn’t know if i should bring it up.” (insert two different versions of what  happened).

after a few weeks of talking, they decide to go on their first date. erin mentions that collin should bring the dogs. needless to say, erin fell for the dogs first. while collin was very quiet during the date, he was also asking all the right questions and talking about most things that men are too scared to bring up. erin was interested. the weeks roll on, as do the dates. on june 26th, 2021, only 6 dates into their new relationship, while enjoying some food and sunshine at grand banks, collin awkwardly asks erin to be his girlfriend. they fall in love and move full-steam ahead.

three months later, collin and the dogs were moving into erin’s nyc apartment. on october 8th, 2022, while the two were in greenwich for the weekend and with some strategic help from the sanders’ family, collin “popp-ed” the question. it’s only fitting that he proposed at 7:30 a.m. (they’re early birds). the two were engaged. one year later, a date is set to be married. the rest is history.
